Beautiful sandstone boulders set high on the canyon wall of Price Canyon. Mostly in the shade from Ponderosa Pines, Scrub Oaks, and Mountain Mahoganies. There are water spigots and pit toilets available at the end of the road at the recreation area campground and picnic area.
From Salt Lake City: Drive south on I-15 to Spanish Fork (about 1 hour). Exit on US Hwy 6 East bound. Drive toward Price, over Soldier Summit, and start dropping down Price Canyon (about 45 minutes). Turn right at the sign for Price Canyon Recreation Area. Set Odometer at the brown gate which says "Campground Closed" on it. This gate is open most of the summer. Exact information can be found at the BLM website.
